Established in 1961, GFD is an independent organization that administers, invests, and reports on prepaid funeral service funds. Over the years the company has added different funding options and services that keep its members competitive and up to date with Federal and Provincial Legislation. We also offer our Members the resources of a knowledgeable and dedicated staff that assist the Ontario Funeral Director with the day-to-day management of their prepaid portfolio.
As a not-for-profit, self funded, fraternal organization, GFD has a Board of Directors consisting of twelve volunteer licensed Funeral Directors who are in tune with the changing needs of the Canadian Funeral Profession. These Directors dedicate their time to developing products, services and benefits that the GFD Membership uses as tools to growth their business.
